SUMMARY:IWC 'Best of' Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The Best of IWC Webinar Series highlights exceptional technical papers that presented at the previous year’s International Water Conference®. Preview the high-quality technical content by registering below.\n  \n \nAttendees can earn 1 pdh credit \nVirtual Webinars are FREE\, registration is required to attend and for pdh certification. \n  \n  \n  \n12:00 PM\nIWC 25-58: Considerations for Fouling Mitigation in Cooling Water Systems: A Methodology for Increasing Operational Efficiency\nHaley White\, Ph.D.\, Bechtel\, Reston\, VA \nThe resurgence of nuclear power necessitates a fresh look at biofouling prevention in cooling water systems at power plants. Efficient energy production in power plants relies on effective operation of heat transfer systems. One aspect of ensuring optimal heat transfer is mitigation of fouling. Here\, typical components susceptible to marine fouling at nuclear plants are evaluated for biofouling prevention strategies\, and a methodology for selecting a fouling prevention program for power plants is proposed. \n12:30 PM\nIWC 25-24: Water Reclamation with Reverse Osmosis – Staging and Energy Recovery\nRick Stover\, Ph.D. GP Water\, Waltham\, MA \nReverse osmosis (RO) technology is critical in water reclamation systems that produce potable water from treated municipal effluent. Staging design can have a major influence on permeate productivity and scaling potential in these systems\, and incorporation of energy recovery devices can significantly lower power consumption\, both benefiting operating cost. This research considers RO process design and operating options to increase reliability\, permeate recovery rate\, flexibility\, and energy efficiency in potable reuse. \n\n\n \n \n \n \n Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n CompanyEmail(Required)\n \n PDH Credit\n \n I need the PDH Credit\n \n Submit \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ
