This webinar will provide an overview of these technologies, provide an update on the state of connected and automated vehicles and outline their impact to the future of transportation.

Jim Katsafanas, PE, PTOE is an Associate Vice President and National Connected and Automated Vehicle Technology Director in the Mobility Technology Solutions Practice at Michael Baker International. His technical design and consulting experience encompasses traffic signals, ITS, connected and automated vehicles, technology deployment, transportation system management and operations (TSMO), vehicle electrification, and mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) solutions for many different types of projects, including limited-access freeways, complex intersections and interchanges, managed lanes and toll facilities, high-occupancy vehicle and transit facilities, and urban roadway systems. Jim is a standing member of the Transportation Research Board ACP20 Freeway Operations Committee and is a voting member of ITS America’s Smart Infrastructure and V2X Standing Committee’s where he is engaged in various working groups focused on the advancement of connected and automated vehicles.
