ESWP Presents the Station Square Train Derailment Recovery

A Luncheon Program presented by Gregory O’Hare, P.E., of the Port Authority of Allegheny County
On August 5, 2018, several Norfolk Southern freight train cars derailed from a track near Pittsburgh’s Station Square, crashing onto the Port Authority’s light rail tracks below. This presentation addresses the Port Authority’s emergency response and restoration efforts due to the derailment and will center on emergency transit operations, assembling the team, railroad recovery, and Authority engineering, repairs, and restoration. Earn 1 pdh credit for this luncheon.
