IWC News
Nearly 800 registrants attended ESWP’s 2023 International Water Conference held at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.
The Conference offered a high-quality technical program with 72 technical papers, 20 continuing education workshops, and an Exhibit Hall with nearly 100 vendors. Thanks to all who participated. We look forward to seeing you at the 2024 IWC in Las Vegas, Nevada.

ESWP Scholarship News
Congratulations to the recipients of the ESWP Members Scholarship for 2023-24!
The recipients are:
- Sara Sawford (Sean Sawford- father) – awarded $2500,
- Paige Lanning (Jen Lanning– mother) – awarded $1600, and
- Austin Zeigler (Bill Laughlin – grandfather) – awarded $1600.
ESWP Tour of the Airport TMP
ESWP Members enjoyed a tour of the Pittsburgh International Airport TMP on Thursday August 3.
ESWP Golf Outing
What a great day on the golf course! The ESWP Annual Golf Outing was held on July 24 at the Quicksilver Golf Club. We had a group on every hole to fill the course! The weather was great, the refreshments were great, the food was great, and the fellowship was great! Thanks for many sponsors who helped make the event extra special! Congratulations to the 1st Place team winner from Michael Baker International. Michael Baker International also gets “bragging rights” for the gift basket gathering the most raffle tickets! Thanks to all our participants and sponsors for making it a big success!
2023 ESWP Members Scholarship
We are now accepting applications for the 2023 ESWP Members Scholarship.
The Scholarship is open to the spouse, children, or grandchildren (natural, step, adopted, or ward) of a member in good standing (one or more previous, continuous years) of the ESWP – please note that only the individuals listed on a corporate member firm roster are eligible).
The scholarships will be awarded to outstanding high school seniors or currently enrolled college undergraduate students, preparing for a career in engineering, architecture or applied sciences. The students must be accepted in an eligible, full-time course of study, at an accredited college or university. The awards will be made without regard to financial need.
Completed application forms are to be submitted to the ESWP Scholarship Committee, no later than July 31, 2023. Please email eswp@eswp.com to receive an online application.
IBC News
The 2023 International Bridge Conference returned to National Harbor, MD over the week of June 12.
There were more than 950 attendees at the conference with representatives from at least 10 different countries. The 2024 IBC is headed to San Antonio, TX for our first move out west! Be sure to check the IBC homepage for all news!

Next up, join us on June 29 for a noontime webinar on PFAS presented by GHD. On July 13, we have our next Trivia Night/Happy Hour, so get your team assembled now. Speaking of teams, how about a foursome for the July 24 golf outing! And looking ahead into August, on August 3 will have a tour of the Airport Terminal Modernization Project – space is limited, so make your reservations early.
