Creating Community Assets, Large and Small

The Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP), in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), seeks your input into planning for 2018 Pennsylvania Brownfields Conference. The Conference planning committee seeks presentations that present current, relevant, timely, and informative content on the wide range of issues involved with bringing a brownfield back to successful reuse. While fundamental issues such as financing & funding, risk assessment, remediation and others will always provide the foundation for reuse, we hope to go beyond these traditional topics to present a program that is thought-provoking and forward thinking with “what’s next” for the brownfields industry. Please consider submitting a brief abstract with these thoughts in mind and tell us where you feel it best fits under the following themes. Then, to help us identify abstracts of common topic, please give us a few keywords so that we can better develop a more cohesive program. Abstracts are due no later than April 30, 2018. Invited presenters will be notified in early May.
